Our Volunteer Program

Engagement of stakeholders, including our employees, is the central tenet of our sustainability strategy. Our volunteer programme has received enthusiastic participation of our Holcim employees, EXCO members, customers, partners, local authorities and local community at all sites around our plants.

Objectives

• To enhance strong linkage between our team and local communities surrounding our plants

• To promote the culture of corporate social & environmental responsibility at all levels of Holcim Vietnam (from Top Management to Shopfloor)

• To stimulate broader and lateral thinking across a larger population on Sustainable Development

• Opportunity to engage our stakeholders

• And finally…a good team building exercise

Our main activities

• House build for the poor or public infrastructure (community center, medical center, playground, schools, etc.) using environment-friendly construction materials

• Environment protection awareness program

• Humanitarian relief: Blood donation, Rice Donation, Fundraising

• Community Survey to understand community needs and assessment of our SD activities
